Featured Charity of the Month

Women’s Health Concern

Women’s Health Concern

Women’s Health Concern was founded in 1972 by a visionary nurse named Joan Jenkins. Joan was extremely passionate about helping women with their healthcare needs, and the entire staff at Women’s Health Concern is dedicated to fulfilling Joan’s vision.

As a charitable organisation, Women's Health Concern aims to help educate and support women with their healthcare by providing unbiased, accurate information through their advice line and website. They offer a range of detailed information leaflets and fact sheets on the most common gynaecological conditions, which can be downloaded directly from the website.

WHC offers the only women’s advice line in the UK that is managed by qualified gynaecological and menopausal nurses with back up support from a team of eminent medical advisers, specialising in the field of the menopause and gynaecology.

WHC’s mission is to endeavor to give women the information they need in order to make informed decisions about their health and health-related problems. Women's Health Concern is dedicated to ensuring that women of all ages and ethnicities are capable of understanding their healthcare options. They also aim to represent women's views regarding gynaecological and sexual health issues when dealing with the media to guarantee women’s views are heard.

For health related advice please call the WHC helpline on 0845 123 2319 or visit their website at www.womens-health-concern.org.
